The first part of the resort's Botanical Gardens was created at the same time as the resort, 30 years ago.
Initially "just" a beautiful park with flowers, plants and trees, the Gardens have been enriched throughout the years with additional flowers, plants, trees, and animals from around the world, as well as decorative items, such as statues, marble from neoclassical Greek houses, paths, sitting areas, fountains, ponds, lakes, cascades, waterfalls, and a river. The most extensive remodelling of the Botanical Gardens took place between 1994 and 2003.
Nowadays, the Botanical Gardens cover an area of 167,000 sq. m and are composed of the following areas:
- The "Taverna" waterfall
- The Zeus Water Lily Pond
- The columned pond
- The fountain
- The Turtles' Waterfall
- The Cladissos River
- The Cactus Garden, its 3 ponds and water plants
- The Goat & Pony Farm
- The Zoo
- Pathways throughout the Gardens
